I’m watching the movie Antwon Fisher and I am reminded of the pain of missing family. Where r the family dinners where we can all sit around and enjoy each others company. No electronics to distract. Just good old fashioned communion together with extended family and friends together. Is it a crazy dream to have. To one day have a huge family gathering, live around my family and my husbands family? I’m not married, he’ll I’m not even dating but it seems that no one talks about it. I mean topics this were football ( yeah), one night stands (contemplations) and job search! Those r fine topics but I just remembered a dream I once had that was in the scene in the movie and teared up bc I wonder if I will ever have that. My family is pure chaos and one always wonders! Ima go now!
I just finished writing a paper heavily based on this song. Sometimes, school is sucky, but it has its good moments as well. The paper was based on this book, by this man. I think this video is particularly appropriate as it is my mother’s birthday today. It makes me think about about motherhood and the choices that women (and men) have to make when they decide to bring a life into this world.
Being that both my mother and I were controversial babies, in the sense that there was some debate amongst stakeholders on whether or not we should have been brought to term, I have to thank God that my grandmother decided to have her baby girl. She is the best thing to happen to me. I’m also thankful that my mom decided to keep me, in spite of all that surrounded my conception.
And I’m going to stop rambling because Tumblr is not for the place for this kinda stuff.
Girl I am also thankful that my mom decided the day of her appointment to end my existence that she ” got a cold” and kept me. Though our life is in the unknown, we will prevail and make a difference in this world!
